In this issue, the survey team went to Mauritius to visit cryptocurrency exchange Triomarkets as planned according to its regulatory address that 5th Floor, The Core, 62 Ebene Cybercity, 72201, Mauritius.
The investigators came to 62 Cybercity in Ebene of Mauritius for an on-site visit to the exchange‘s office and located The Core, a modern 14-story commercial building featuring a well-maintained façade. Additionally, the building boasts convenient transportation, with a wide range of entertainment facilities nearby, including eateries, due to the area’s prosperity.
Upon arrival at the building for further investigation, the survey personnel spotted a directory in the lobby, which did not display the company name or logo of Triomarkets. Moreover, it revealed that the 5th floor was occupied by Ashton Financial Partners, Nexus, and Green Banana Leaf, which had nothing to do with Triomarkets.
The inspection team then took the elevator to the 5th floor, where they did not discover any signs of the brokers business operations. According to its official website, the company had another address.
Through the on-site investigation, it is confirmed that the broker does not have a physical presence at the location.
Conclusion
The survey team went to Mauritius to visit cryptocurrency exchange Triomarkets, but didnt find the company at its regulatory address. This signifies that it may just register at the address without a physical business office. Accordingly, investors should be meticulous in choosing the exchange.
