In recent years, the Canadian government has invested substantial resources and money into research and applications of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, including decentralized identity authentication, smart contracts, and other areas, indicating that it will continue to play a crucial role in the era of digital economy in the future. As a result, Canada becomes one of the competitive markets for global crypto exchanges. To help investors gain a more comprehensive understanding of the exchanges in Canada, WikiBit survey team decides to go to the country for on-site visits to local companies.

On-site visit

In this issue, the survey team went to Canada to visit cryptocurrency exchange COINCURVE as planned according to its regulatory address that 900 - 2025 Willingdon Avenue Burnaby, BC, Canada V5C0J3.

The investigators came to 2025 Willingdon Avenue in Burnaby of British Columbia in Canada for a visit to the exchanges office on November 2, 2023, and located a modern commercial building at the corner of Willingdon Avenue and British Columbia Highway 7. Additionally, the building is easily accessible via public transports due to being adjacent to the SkyTrain Station.

Upon arrival at the building for further investigation, the survey personnel spotted security and reception area in the lobby. However, the lobby directory didnt display any information regarding COINCURVE.

And then the investigation team proceeded to the 9th floor of the building by the elevator, and discovered from the floor directory that unit 900 is occupied by a co-working space REGUS.

Upon arrival at unit 900, the survey team didnt find the company name nor logo of COINCURVE other than the shared office REGUS.

Through the on-site investigation, it is confirmed that COINCURVE doesnt have a presence at the location.

Conclusion

The survey team went to Canada to visit cryptocurrency exchange COINCURVE, but didnt find the company at its regulatory address. This suggests that the company might just register at the place without a physical business office. Therefore, investors should be meticulous in choosing the exchange.
