Reason for this visit

East Asia and North America (primarily the United States) are the two largest cryptocurrency trading markets in the world, accounting for approximately half of the global cryptocurrency market volume. Compared to many exchanges in East Asia, US exchanges are subject to stricter regulations, and the US is home to the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Coinbase. In an attempt to help investors to gain a more comprehensive understanding of current cryptocurrency exchanges in the US, WikiBit survey team decides to go to the country for on-site visits to local companies.

On-site visit

In this issue, the survey team went to the US to visit cryptocurrency exchange Slyde as planned according to its purported regulatory address that 8461 Turnpike Dr., Ste. 102, Westminster, Colorado.

The investigators came to 8461 Turnpike Drive in Westminster of Colorado in the US for an on-site visit to the exchanges office, and located the Westpark Office I, an office building.

Upon arrival at the building for further investigation, the survey personnel spotted an outdoor directory, which didnt display any information regarding Slyde. In the meantime, the directory in the lobby indicated that suite 102 was occupied by “Colorado Therapy Center” rather than Slyde.

The inspection team reached the suite 102 and discovered that the unit was actually utilized by Aspen Bridge Mental Health and Colorado Therapy Assessment Center.

Furthermore, the Slyde website was not accessible, and some information regarding “Slyde Trading” and “Slyde Blockchain” on Facebook had no longer been updated for a while. All these suggest the termination of its operation.

Through the on-site investigation, it is confirmed that the company does not have a physical presence at the location.

Conclusion

The survey team went to the US to visit cryptocurrency exchange Slyde, but did not find the company at its purported regulatory address. Accordingly, investors should be meticulous in choosing the exchange.
