Reason for this visit

East Asia and North America (mainly the US) are the two largest cryptocurrency trading markets in the world, with trading volume accounting for about half of the global crypto market. Compared with many exchanges in East Asia, US exchanges are subject to stricter supervision and the US has the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase. In order to help investors gain a more comprehensive understanding of the US cryptocurrency exchanges, the survey team will visit the US on site.

On-site visit

This time the survey team visited Palo Alto, the United States, to visit Bitfront, a cryptocurrency exchange, at 366 Cambridge Ave Suite 100, Palo Alto, CA. 

The survey personnel came to the destination of the survey based on the above address. The office building located at 366 Cambridge Ave in San Francisco, USA is only two stories high. It is not in a professional office block and there are no high-rise buildings nearby.

There was no sign outside the building, and no logo or other information about the cryptocurrency exchange Bitfront was found. From the outside, the door of the building was locked tightly, no one was working here, and no one answered the doorbell when the survey personnel pressed the doorbell. 

The investigators found a billboard for renting a shared office on the side of the building. Therefore, the office in the building is likely to be a shared office and is currently being rented.

Conclusion

The investigators went to San Francisco to visit the cryptocurrency exchange Bitfront. The publicly displayed address was a shared office, and the office was empty. The investigators did not find the exchange’s logo or other information. Therefore, the cryptocurrency exchange Bitfront may not have a real business venue. Investors are advised to choose this exchange carefully.
