Reason for this visit

Cyprus boasts a relatively friendly cryptocurrency-related legislative environment, and currently allows cryptocurrency trading. The government has adopted an open policy to promote digital economy and increasingly strengthen the related regulation by requiring exchange platforms to implement KYC. There are a certain number of cryptocurrency exchanges and blockchain startups in Cyprus, and some merchants and enterprises have started to accept cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin as a payment method, with parts of ATMs supporting withdrawal by cryptocurrencies. In an attempt to help investors to get a more comprehensive understanding of the exchanges in Cyprus, WikiBit survey team decides to go to the country for on-site visits to local companies.

On-site visit

In this issue, the survey team went to Limassol, Cyprus to visit cryptocurrency exchange 4XHUB as planned according to its purported regulatory address that 210 Amathoundas Avenue, Energy House, Block A, Office 1, Pyrgos, 4534, Limassol.

The investigators came to 210 Amathoundas Avenue in Pyrgos of Limassol, the second largest city of Cyprus, for an on-visit to the exchanges office, and located the Energy House, a three-story building with a well-maintained façade.

Upon arrival at the building for further investigation, the survey personnel spotted a large signage board outside, which indicated 4XHUBs information, including company name, website, registration number, and its CySEC license number. And there was only one office on the ground floor of Block A, with no company logo on the door. Additionally, no company directory was found in the building. However, according to the security officer on duty, 4XHUB was operating in the building.

Through the on-site investigation, it is confirmed that the exchange has a physical presence at the location.

Conclusion

The survey team went to Cyprus to visit cryptocurrency exchange 4XHUB, and found the companys name at the aforementioned regulatory address. It suggests that the exchange has a physical business office at the place. Meanwhile, investors are advised to make a sensible decision following much deliberation.
